Korean BBQ Bulgogi part II
Somewhere in Seoul
Near the Coex / Posco Building
Our coworkers from Seoul took us out for a real Korean BBQ last week and it was probably the tastiest bulgogi I’ve had. First off, it’s cooked over real burning wood coals – not a gas stove. The grill itself was pretty cool – it had an overhanging vent that bascially sucked the smoke right out of the room. (no Korean BBQ smelling clothes is a real added benefit.). But the beef was also pretty amazing itself. It was definitely some really high quality beef and marinated to perfection.

Korean Side Dishes
Hite Beer and Soju
Was an excellent meal Simon – my first ever Korean bbq – hopefully not my last!
Yeah, korean side dishes are the best. Did you get the crispy sweet fried potatoes as one of your dishes?
Bulgogi is beef in a special sauce, almost like a stew. It’s cooked by boiling. What you’ve got here isn’t bulgogi, but rather kalbi–bbq beef.
hmm, looks good~
