Fu Zhou Fresh Handmade Noodles New York
144 East Broadway

Awhile back I wrote about the Fu Xing fresh handmade noodle joint on East Broadway off of Bowery. Recently we found another fresh handmade noodle hole in the wall on the opposite end of East Broadway. This place in my opinion kind of out does the Fu Xing in some respects. Firstly, the meat is much better – better cuts, less bones and a better broth. Secondly, you can customize the width of your noodles – we got the default which is a little thinner than you would get over at Fu Xing. Both Noodle places offer the freshest noodles possible since they make and pull your noodles by hand upon ordering. In terms of atmosphere, I have to give it to Fu Xing – I still love the propped up TV over the doorway although Fu Zhou has a much larger space and can accomodate over 20 people. Either way though both noodle houses offer great meals at low cost ( Fu Zhou slightly cheaper ). Next time you are down in East Broadway be sure to check out one of them, you’ll definitely not be disapointed.
