We were living out at the 9 beaches resort in Somerset Bermuda and there wasn’t a whole lot of restaurants in the immediate vicininty. However we asked a lot of the locals and they all recommended Island Cuisine in Southhampton Bermuda. It’s really close to the South Road / Middle Road Junction so if you are down in Horseshoe Bay or Church Bay Beaches it’s only about a 15 minute scooter ride. Island Cuisine is essentially a neighborhood diner with an all day breakfast menu, burgers, steaks, and sandwiches.
They also have some home specialities which we were very interested in checking out. We tried the Jamaican Jerked Chicken plate which comes with a side of rice and beans, a vegetable ( we chose the corn on the cob ) and a large portion of Jerked Chicken. The Chicken wasn’t all too spicy and was actually on the sweeter side, and was very tender and juicy. I think it cost around $12.95 for this plate which is actually about average / cheap for Bermuda. Anyways if you are looking for a local hangout this is a great option and it’s not too expensive. You can always order burgers for around $5 or so too.
