3:20 AM Borgata Casino Atlantic City NJ Time For Fatburger!
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa
One Borgata Way
Atlantic City, NJ 08401
A few posts back I wrote about all the foodies that I work with. Let it be known that I also work with a lot of GAMBLERS too. Well, ok I’ll admit that I love eating AND I love playing poker. Last weekend, we did the ultimate road trip to Atlantic City NJ. No, not the $10 Chinatown bus special my friend (please), but a chartered stretch limo for 16. A black Hummer stretch limo with 20″ rims to be exact! Tacky? Maybe. But fun and if you think about it, what other way is there to roll into the casinos in AC? The music, cocktails and company made the 2.5 hour ride down to Atlantic City a very memorable one indeed. Speaking of which, if anyone from Jamaica ever offers you 120 proof Wray & Nephew White Rum just say no (thanks Cavel). That stuff is serious and brings me back to the Er Gou Tou days in China. Glad no one brought Night Train – maybe next time? Anyways, we arrived safely and immediately hit the tables and gambled at Caesars Casino, then somehow made it to the Borgata Casino Hotel. Believe it or not it was my first time in Atlantic City and for all the forewarnings I had about the city being a dump, it wasn’t half as bad as I had expected. Then again I never made it to the cheesy Trump casinos so I guess I couldn’t really say for sure that I’d seen the extent of AC. Now for the privacy of my coworkers, it’s probably better that I skip what happened between the hours of 11pm and 3am and instead fill you in on a good spot for food, Fatburger. Like Five Guys and In N Out, Fatburger features fresh premium non-frozen burgers made to order. They are also gigantic, greasy and great. I particularly like Fatburger because you can add a fried egg as an extra along with bacon and cheese. I know it sounds a bit weird, but try it. Believe me, at 3:20AM in the basement of the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City NJ, it’s always a good bet! Enjoy!
