Here’s to a Happy 2010 New Year!!
As 2009 winds down, I am amazed at how quickly the year has come and gone. Just over the last 2 months, I flew over 30,000 miles traveling to Shanghai, Beijing, Boston, Seattle, San Diego, back to Seattle and Las Vegas, completed and presented various final projects for grad school and of course at the same time attended all the important things of my work place and found a little time in between for friends and family. It’s been busy, but I’m not complaining.
New Year’s Resolutions
It’s usually this time of the year I look back and think about how I did for the year. How did you do on your resolutions in 2009? Back in December 2008 I vowed to blog more seriously and I’m happy to say that I was successful. This year I wrote 80 blog posts (up 25%) from 2008. I know it’s not that much considering the name of my blog is plate-of-the-DAY, so I’m going to try to up that amount for sure in 2010. (By the way, I’m going to be one of 93 food bloggers taking part in the 93 Plates Project hosted by wanderingfoodie.com)
At the top of everyone’s list is of course health – This year I finally completed a half marathon in August (barely) and did a fun 3 week liver cleanse with my girlfriend in the Spring. I don’t know about doing another 1/2 marathon, but we are thinking about doing another liver cleanse in a few weeks actually.
With the recession, high unemployment, and lots of unexpected change, it’s been a challenging year for sure but I honestly think it’s going to be ok.
I wish you all a safe, happy and prosperous 2010!
