Sushi is just so stylish these days. Whether it’s served on a floating boat or on a semi nude glamour girl, it’s still gonna rock wherever you eat it.
I think it has a lot to do with the concept of freshness and the artful preparation. In the case of Harney, it’s the breaks and beats from the DJ booth. Not a new concept, DJs in restaurants if done right can actually enhance the experience. If the DJ sucks of course then all bets are off obviously. Checked out this place with Martin last Friday night. I ordered a caterpillar roll. Its got to be one of the nicely decorated caterpillar rolls I’ve ever seen. It has antennaes made of alfalfa sprouts and a lower jaw from a piece of shrimp

At Harney Sushi, they prepare their caterpillar rolls with cream cheese. Conceptually it’s good, but personally I am not a big fan.
We also ordered a real tasty crunchy shrimp tempura roll :

Ok, so you’re probably asking yourself if they have nude serving girls at Harney. No they don’t but I’ve heard rumours that the waitresses were equally hot. I don’t know much about this – it wasn’t the case when we went last week. When I find the nude sushi girl bar, I’ll definitely post it on the blog for sure though. Anyone know of one in NYC?

hiya! i am just cruising through all the entries for DMBLGiT,
you know, to scope out the competition and all *wink*
i love that your blog is so much restaurants (for me, too, mostly
restaurants writing these days because of work). i love closeup pix -
especially sushi!
No nude people with my food, please. It’s hard enough to eat the raw fish, don’t need the raw women too!
