It’s cold in Amsterdam this time of year but it’s never too cold to enjoy some fresh herring fish sandwiches from one of the local fish sandwich shacks. We came across this one right near the flower market. Got one with herring which is served sashimi style with a sweet mayo, diced sweet onions, and topped with slices of pickles. Also got another sandwich with just smoked mackerel which sounds pretty boring but it turned out to be pretty amazing as well.

Only drawback, they don’t serve Heineken, but the nearest pub is only a stone’s throw away!
