First Chinese 3 Star Michelin Chef : Chan Yan Tak (HK)
Sounds like a great plot for a Chinese drama, but wait it’s real! 13 year old boy sent to the kitchen to work out of economic necessity, washing vegetables, then works his way up to chef. Finally after 20 years or so his wife unexpectedly dies and he calls it quits so he can retire and finally spend time with his children, only to be coaxed back out of retirement to help save the Four Seasons Restaurant out of a potential calamity. As a result of his experience and mastry, he is awarded 3 Michelin Stars.
