Cinco de Mayo Party? Try Los Paisas Mexican Restaurant
898 Amsterdam Ave (btw 103rd and 104th)
Cinco de Mayo Party Supplies Food
| If you’re looking for a great Cinco De Mayo party spot go uptown! Up on Amsterdam ave near 103rd Street is an interesting Mexican Deli / Restaurant. Half of the space is a restaurant and the other half is a deli that sells CDs, vegetables, canned goods, and alcohol. Its got a full menu of authentic mexican dishes such as Mole Verde de Puerco (green mole of pork), Chuletas Encobolidas (Onion Pork chops), and Pechuga de Pollo Empanizado (Breaded Chicken). |

The waiter barely speaks English but the menu is bilingual. I tried the Pechuga de Pollo empanizado and downed it with a bottle of orange Jarritos. You should definitely try this place out if you want a taste of authentic Mexican along with the experience. There’s usually a rowdy bunch of locals downing Coronas and cranking tunes out of the jukebox. Yes a definitely good choice to celebrate Cinco De Mayo or if you prefer to celebrate at home you can be sure to pick up all your Cinco de Mayo supplies here – beer, snacks, music, etc.
